The Geneva-based Sharing Knowledge Foundation aims to contribute to the reduction of inequalities through knowledge sharing and scientific cooperation in Africa and the Middle East (MENA). The Foundation promotes scientific research, education and knowledge sharing as cornerstones for collaborative development and the promotion of peace.
The scholarships are for engineering and scientific students from universities in the Middle East and North Africa to pursue postgraduate studies (PhD) at leading scientific universities, institutes, doctoral and experimental research at CERN.
By enabling future scientific leaders to access specialised higher education institutions, the Foundation supports their training and invests in future agents of change in their own countries – “brain gain”.
Before the Covid 19 pandemic, the Sharing Knowledge Foundation was holding annual conferences in Europe. These major international events would bring together over 100 top scientists, innovators, business and political leaders, as well as young STEM leaders from Switzerland, the Middle East and Africa.
Active for more than 15 years, the Sharing Knowledge Foundation invites you to discover various articles and reflections on the sharing of experiences, science, education, ecology and humankind.
